Long Jing is the most famous green tea in China but few have tasted the original, which grows on Shi Feng Shan in Hangzhou City. The popularity of Long Jing has resulted in its production in many provinces resulting in a wide range of quality and flavor. Even Long Jing grown around West Lake has many varieties. At Seven Cups, we are privileged to offer Shi Feng Long Jing directly from famous tea master Weng Shang Yi. For over sixty years, he has been making this hand made Tribute Tea only from the original Long Jing bush. It requires great skill to hand fry the tea buds and fresh leaves to create Long Jing’s unique flat shape. Long Jing has over a hundred-year history as a Tribute Tea and was previously only served to emperors and high officials. We hope that you will enjoy the full-bodied flavor of this remarkable tea. Appreciate the light yellow green tea color and unique fresh fragrance that gently develops over many infusions. A truly remarkable tea!
